In other words, unfortunately, the citizenship procedure is now more complicated. For this reason, foreign investors nowadays need to cooperate with legal experts more than ever to complete their investment and smoothly complete the citizenship application process.
According to the literal meaning of this new rule, a Turkish woman married to a foreigner will not be able to sell his/her real estate to a foreign investor seeking Turkish citizenship. In addition, the foreign investor will now have to check whether the Turkish property owner is married to a foreigner, which seems troublesome to both sides.
Understood in this way, this rule will greatly restrict people born in Turkey. That is why, I think, the legislator meant something else with this new rule, and therefore, it should be interpreted differently. However, we have not yet been able to clarify this point. Therefore, it must be admitted that this new clause is currently confusing, and soon we will be able to get more clarification on the subject.
